Vintage Hair Modelling and some atomic treasures

This month I did some hair modelling for my friend Bethany (The Vintage Beauty Parlour). She had a gorgeous stall at the White Memoirs Vintage Wedding Fair in The Stockport Town Hall where were did hair and make-up demos for the brides to be.

Stockport Town Hall is such a beautiful building with really intricate ornate features, a perfect setting for the dreamy wedding fair. I didn't take many pictures as I only went around a couple of times looking at all the stalls but I can tell you, this place was full of the best people to go to if you're planning your wedding. From vintage inspired wedding dresses to retro wedding stationery, everything you'll ever need for the big day.

There was live music throughout the day from a string quartet which gave the town hall a somewhat magical vibe, perfect for this wedding fair. I had the pleasure to meet the wonderful Kiki DeVille who performed a couple of times and enterviewed all the stall holders. Another incredibly talented lady, such a natural!

Once the stall was setup, Bethany got started on my hair. She did three different looks: 1920's, 1940's and 1950's. The 20's look seemed to be the favourite amongst all the brides to be.

It was a really nice surprise when Bethany got out the freshly printed Vintage Beauty Parlour calendar! She had organised a photoshoot with lots of well known models, burlesque stars and generaly fabulous ladies and she needed a Mexican lady, that's where I came in! hehe.

I've been looking forward to seeing how it came out and all the ladies in it look absolutlely amazing! Such a variety of styles and different eras. All the hairstyles and make-up are perfect! I love it!

The photos were taken by Kim - The Madame Boudoir Photography Studio - who is one of the best photographers I have ever had the pleasure to work with. She really knows what works and makes you feel really confortable.

After the weekend I got my modernist atomic boomerang necklace and earring through the post. Martin found these online after researching into modernist jewellery and ordered them from America so I have been waiting nearly a month for them to arrive. Happy Carla :)
